From the title of this blog post/review…you can probably guess how I felt about these products….but I feel like even products that don’t work for me deserve a thorough review. Maybe it will work for you, or maybe I’ll save one of you the frustration of finding a product that doesn’t work!
There was a lot of hype surrounding the new Anastasia Beverly Hills foundation sticks, especially on Instagram and other social media sites. One of the biggest selling points of this foundation was the announcement that there would be 30 shades, including those in very fair to very dark skin colors and in several undertones. As someone on the fairer end of the spectrum with a neutral-olive undertone, this got me pretty excited. If you read my “Most Wanted” post from several weeks back– I had been planning to purchase a foundation and contour stick from the brand for a while. Now that I’ve gotten a chance to use it multiple times, lets talk about what worked and what didn’t.

This week I reviewed the Bite holiday value set…and the new holiday value sets just keep rolling out! I definitely won’t be mentioning all of them on here, but another one that has caught my interest is the Lorac Mega Pro 3. Definitely not for the casual makeup user, this palette has 32 shadows, appears to be a good mix of warm, and neutral-ish cool tones as well as mattes and shimmers, and is $59 dollars at Ulta releasing October 2nd. In general, the Lorac Pro formula (especially the formula from the Pro 1 + 2 Palettes) are absolutely wonderful– soft, pigmented, and very easy to blend. I will definitely be interested in swatching the one in stores to see how it looks!
Coming up this week (if all goes as planned😏 ) I have two pretty amazing product review posts…including one with a💃🏻 giveaway💃🏻. It will only be open for a short time, so keep checking back!

Wow, that title was a mouthful! Basically these are my favorite nude and neutral-toned, (aka hospital-approved) easy-to-throw-on tinted lip balms, sheer, and regular lipsticks.
Before launching the blog, I was brainstorming names for the website title. Some of the original ideas that came to mind were things like”Red Lips, White Coat” etc. … which 1) turned out to be already taken by a gorgeous physician but also 2) seemed a little disingenuous because while I LOVE red lipstick, I really only ever get to wear it in my personal life…very rarely while in a white coat and certainly never in scrubs. Alas, “White Coat, Tinted Lipbalm” didn’t have quite the same ring to it…
Anyways, after much lip swatching, here are the lip products that I have most frequently pulled from my collection (*cough* hoard *cough*) since starting clinical rotations, and a few comments about each of them. Continue reading “The Triple Shot of Beauty Conservative Workplace Lipstick Picks”
