Sorry for the delay on this post you guys! I think I set the post scheduling tool up wrong 😳
This week I got to post a review of Ouidad’s new Mongongo Multi-Use Treatment and even give away a bottle of it to one of you guys, which is always super fun! Coming up next, I am reviewing September’s Pop Sugar Must Have Box and previewing their October box for you guys to help determine whether it is worth the price. I’ll give you guys one hint…I’ve been loving one of the items in the box that might be pictured above…
I’ve been traveling a ton throughout September, and am already off on another away rotation. Would you guys be interested in seeing a post about how my travel-friendly makeup tips and what I pack in my makeup bag for when I’m on the road?

This week I reviewed the Bite holiday value set…and the new holiday value sets just keep rolling out! I definitely won’t be mentioning all of them on here, but another one that has caught my interest is the Lorac Mega Pro 3. Definitely not for the casual makeup user, this palette has 32 shadows, appears to be a good mix of warm, and neutral-ish cool tones as well as mattes and shimmers, and is $59 dollars at Ulta releasing October 2nd. In general, the Lorac Pro formula (especially the formula from the Pro 1 + 2 Palettes) are absolutely wonderful– soft, pigmented, and very easy to blend. I will definitely be interested in swatching the one in stores to see how it looks!
Coming up this week (if all goes as planned😏 ) I have two pretty amazing product review posts…including one with a💃🏻 giveaway💃🏻. It will only be open for a short time, so keep checking back!

Beauty & Blogging
It has been a crazy couple of weeks and so I have been totally absentee on the blogging side of things. I’ve definitely been trying products on the beauty and skincare end, so I will absolutely have some posts coming soon to be back on track 🙂
I was able to get my hands on a few of the beauty and skincare products from my September’s Most Wanted post with my Sephora gift card– the Anastasia Beverly Hills foundation and contour stick and the Marc Jacobs Blush being the highlights. I also tried samples of Sunday Riley’s Good Genes, Elizabeth and James Nirvana Rose, and Nest Dahlia and Vines. Good Genes was a super bust for me– two days of use left my skin way over-exfoliated with flaking and lots of red bumps 👎. It is a holy grail product for a lot of people but Continue reading “Week(s) in Review 9/18/16”

This week on the blog I posted about my new favorite mascara– I mean if you saw the before and after shot it totally speaks for itself. For this upcoming week, I am looking to do so posts about my skincare routine and also some of my favorite “smelly” products for this transitional time of year. I also got to try Scentbird, and am excited to give you all my full thoughts and a review on that subscription service.
In MAJOR new release news, Urban Decay announced that they are releasing an all matte palette called the Urban Decay Ultimate Basics in mid-September. This is one launch that I am actually pretty excited about; I wear matte shades every day for the hospital and clinic and it looks like it has a row of cooler tones and a row of warmer tones so it will be fairly versatile. Plus…I’ve been hoarding my Ulta points, so maybe this will be the palette that convinces me to “spend” them!
This week on the blog I answered a few of the questions that some folks had asked through the “Ask Me Anything” tab, including some about pre-med research– keep asking those great questions!
I’m all done with Internal Medicine! I think my shelf exam Continue reading “Week in Review 8/21/16”
This week on the blog I covered my top neutral lipsticks (perfect for working in the hospital or a work environment where you can’t get away with going too bold). I also documented my pixie grow-out process, aka the awkward hair year, and included some tips if you are going through that as well. If you haven’t checked that one out, there are some embarrassing gems of pictures that I am questioning whether or not should be on the internet 😳 😂. I definitely need your opinions folks– bangs or no bangs at my next haircut– I have a whole pinterest board of inspo!
In other beauty news, beginning from mid-July a lot of the brands have started announcing their holiday specials. Isn’t that crazy? Continue reading “Week in Review 8/7/16”
This week was a good week for reviews! After lots of testing I finally got the Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream and Benefit Gimme Brow vs Essence Make Me Brow Dupe posts up which felt really good 🙂

I hinted at this a little bit on the instagram, but I have been testing out the new Covergirl Clean Matte BB cream this week! Keep an eye out here for a thorough review. Also look out for that dupe review on Benefit’s Gimme Brow vs Essence Make Me Brow 😉
So I reviewed that beautiful red shade of the Essie Gel Couture last week. Last Sunday I applied a pretty sheer pink shade called Fairy Tailor(perfect for a professional look)– and it lasted through Saturday (yesterday– 6 full days :D) before I took it off. No chips, my nails were just growing out. This nail polish is officially a winner.

Hello– Welcome to Triple Shot of Beauty. This is my FIRST POST. EVER. Here’s what I was up to this week:
Hourglass Vanish Foundation, post coming soon!
Poor Jonas cat
- Hourglass Vanish Foundation: I got really lucky here and am super grateful to Influenster and Hourglass for sending me the Vanish foundation stick and brush to review for you guys. Check the instagram @tripleshotofbeauty for sneak peeks!
- Essie Gel Setter polish+topcoat: Nail polish usually only makes it one, maybe two days without major chippage on me. I am pretty rough on my hands. Testing this out to see if it can make it through a few shifts on the TCU
- Benefit Gimme Brow vs Essence Make Me Brow: One is almost $25, and the other is almost $3. Word on the street is that they are dupes. Keep checking for a full report!
